One of the things on our Summer Bucket List was to get back into Letterboxing. Letterboxing is hiking with a purpose. There are treasure boxes hiding all over the country (and world) and there are clues to find them. Inside the box is a beautiful rubber stamp that you stamp into your log book and you have a stamp of your own that you stamp into the log book in the box, to show that you've been there. If you want to learn more about Letterboxing check it out here at LBNA.
Our trail name is PointerParty because we have a "hunting" party full of (German Shorthair and whatever Jack is) Pointers. This weekend we got all 3 pups plus the kid out on the trail for a hike that was "inconceivable".( It was a Princess Bride Themed Letterbox)
What a great time, I forgot how awesome Letterboxing is.
That checked 2 things off our list - Get the Dogs out for a Hike and Find some "Treasure"!
Hope you had a great holiday weekend. Have you ever been Letterboxing?
