Sparkle Wreath with Brooches

I had the opportunity to make this gorgeous wreath for a trade show booth for The Buckle Boutique.

Wreath2

I used an 9" circle foam wreath and wrapped it in 1 inch wide ribbon, I secured the ribbon with glue at the begining and the end. Once the wreath was wrapped I used a piece of hand beaded scalloped trim with rhinestones.

Wreath-3

I wrapped that around a couple of times and attached it with an iron, since it's backed with heat bond.

Once, that was attached I started to pin tight the rhinestone brooches of all sizes. When I filled all the space with pins, I tied an extra piece of ribbon to the top to hang the wreath.

I’m recently finding that I absolutely LOVE vintage brooches. I have two so far and would love to increase my collection. If only I had kept my mother’s “junk” jewelry!! She had a few to pin her scarf. This is a lovely project to use them and them the off ;-)
