Sparkle Handmade Putz House

My daughter loves Putz or Glitter Houses. They are those tiny Christmas paper houses from the 40's and 50's. She has many different styles, but this year she wanted to try her hand at making her own.

I thought I would use the Dazzling Diamond sticker sheets from the Buckle Boutique to make mine sparkle, which means less glue = less mess.

I used a paper house design I found on the web here.

Photo (9)

I cut it out of cardstock, then I cut pieces of the sticker sheet to fit each panel of the house and roof. I stuck the sticker sheets on and glued the house together. Photo (10)

I used a piece of the Rowlux Illusion Film for the door.

Then I used Beacon 527 glue and baking soda to make the snow.Photo 4

I'm in love with how easy it was to make and no mess of the glitter and the baking soda didn't make as big of a mess as I thought.

These make cute gifts for the holiday season.

Bottle Cap Bling

I am in love with making these cute bottle cap necklaces. I put all kinds of images inside.

Bottlecap-2

This week I used the Dazzling Diamond Sticker Sheet from the Buckle Boutique. It was simple to punch out the 1" circle using my Martha Stewart Paper Punch. YES, you read that correctly, I am able to use the Dazzling Diamond Sticker Sheets with a regular paper punch. It cuts a nice clean edge and the 1" circle fits perfectly into the cap.

I peeled the paper off the adhesive back and stuck in right on the bottle cap. Right there is a cool cap, but I thought I would take it to the next level by adding adornments to the sticker sheet. I added a heart sticker and the word love, dotted some glittler paint and filled the whole cap with the Jewelry Pendant Gel. I let the bottle cap sit for 24 hours for the gel to set.

I added a cool string necklace and BAM – totally sparkly necklace in no time!

Stop by the Buckle Boutique to pick up your Dazzling Diamond Sticker Sheets and see where your creativity takes you!!!

Sparkly Office Supplies for Back to School!

It’s time to start the new school year and what better way to do it than to add bling to all your office supplies.

It’s a simple project using the Dazzling Diamond Sticker sheets from The Buckle Boutique.

I purchased a box of boring yellow #2 pencils, they looked sad just being plain so a quick wrap of sparkle vinyl makes them pretty.

Office-5

Binder clips in a box are not very exciting but add some glitz and clip them around the pencil can – now they are a desk accessory!

Then use the scraps to add pizazz to thumbtacks!

These would make great back to school gift for teachers or an addition to a college care package.

Visit The Buckle Boutique to see their full line of colors.

Rhinestone Butterfly Floral Picks

I was lucky enough to win a set of punches. I used the solid butterfly punch with the Buckle Boutique's Dazzling Diamond Sticker Sheets to make these cute butterfly floral picks. I added them to a flower arrangement we made from fresh picked flowers and they really made the whole thing sparkle.

Butterfly-1

Start by using a paper punch to punch out the butterfly shape. YES! I said use the paper punch with the Dazzling Diamond Sticker Sheet!! Isn't that fabulous!

So, punch out the butterflies. You need 2 in each color. Peel off the backing of the sticker sheet and place the butterfly on the floral stick, stick the other one to the back. Bend the tip to make it look like the butterfly is flying.

Place it the vase with some pretty flowers!

Rhinestone Buckle Magnet

I love the sparkle of the slides, buckles and brooches from The Buckle Boutique. They are really fabulous, I came up with a way to enjoy the sparkle without it having to be on your outfit. I know, why wouldn't you want it on your outfit but I'm thinking of more like dressing up your environment too!

Butterfly-1

Rhinestone Buckle (or slides or brooch) magnets! I put mine on the refrigerator to hold up our Summer Bucket List. Every time I open the door it shimmers in the light and makes me smile. These would make great gifts for the girl that love glitz!

Butterfly-3

Butterfly-4

I used a small disk magnet from the craft store. I cut a round piece of the Dazzling Diamond Sticker Sheet to stick to the front of the magnet disk. Then I used E6000 glue to adhere the Butterfly Slide to the magnet. I let the glue dry overnight and the project is finished. The result is perfect!

Frozen Bling Candle

Frozen5-7

The options for cool birthday number candles are nonexistent. Especially when you are cheap like me and want to pick them up at the dollar store. So, when looking for a number candle for a Frozen party I could only find this beautiful multi-colored polka dot one.

Frozen5-1

Well, 10 minutes in the craft room and it was transformed into this beautiful sparkle piece that will make any little girl smile.

I used The Buckle Boutique's Dazzling Diamond Stick Sheet in Sky Blue to fill the body of the candle. Then used matching glitter to cover up the red outline.

Frozen5-2

I used tracing paper to trace the inside shape of the number. Then, on the back of the Dazzling Diamond Sticker Sheet, I flip over the traced number and rub my finger over the pencil lines to transfer the 5 to the sticker sheet. Since I'm cutting from the back, the number has to be in reverse. I use a craft knife to cut the stick sheet with ease.

Frozen5-3

Once the number is cut out, peel the back off and stick it to the candle.

Frozen5-4

I used tacky glue on the red outline. Sprinkle the glitter on and tap off the excess. Once the glue is dry, use a soft brush to knock off any extra glitter that stuck to the resin gemstones. (Nobody wants glitter on the cake.)

Frozen5-8

This project was simple and quick, just the way I like it!

Sparkle Clipboard

Clipboard-5

I'm over the moon with the Rhinestone Trim avalible from The Buckle Boutique. It is easy to cut and can be ironed on fabric but a hot glue gun works great on all other surfaces. I used it along with other Buckle Boutique products and Paper goods from DCWV to make this fun clipboard that can hang in my office and be used to tack or clip items to.

So, how did I make it?

I started with a base of silver Dazzling Diamond Sticker Sheet to cover the entire clip. That way the whole clip sparkled even in the spaces between the trim.

Clipboard-1

Next I went mad with the hot glue gun. I glued a large piece of trim across the widest part of the clip and used a different trim for the middle of the clip.

I ended with attaching a slide to the clip by threading ribbon through the hole and slide, then tying it into a bow. I glued on some of the mesh flowers and the clip was totally blinged out!

For the board, I used a sheet of cork paper from DCWV.

Clipboard-2

It has a peel and stick back, which went on quick and easy. Now the clipboard has a cork surface to tack things to as well as clip.

I used washi tape to fill the gap between the edge of the cork paper to the top of the clipboard.

I clipped a saying cut from the DCWV chalkboard collection.

Pretty and simple, the way I like all my crafts! Hope you love it and add some bling to your life.

Ribbon Slide Bracelet

Ribbonbracelet-6

Here is one of the easiest ways to add bling to your outfit! These pretty satin ribbon bracelets look great for a Summer Wedding or add a black ribbon to match your fave LBD (little black dress). All you need is one great rhinestone slide! Next add ribbon remments! The sky is the limit.

Visit The Buckle Boutique for a great selection of rhinestone slides. Mine is the Lace Inspired Slide.

I like a multi wrap for my bracelet, but you could just have a simple once around bracelet.

For this cream stain bracelet I measured 18". I usually wear a 7" bracelet, so twice around would be 14" I left a little extra to tie a bow.

Ribbonbracelet-1

Cut the ends of the ribbon at angle and use a fray stop or tacky glue to secure the ends. Let it dry completely. The ribbon will keep it's clean cut that way.

Ribbonbracelet-3

Simply slide the rhinestone slide on and wrap the ribbon around the wrist and tie in place.

I love the veristility on one slide and multiple colors of ribbons. Match it to every outfit you own!

Lucky Irish Banner

It's March. In March our world becomes nothing but Irish Dance. I wanted to make a cute little banner decoration for our wall for my tiny dancer. Green, orange and sparkly, she loves it. Here's to a little Luck of the Irish!

I'm also a quick crafter. If the project takes longer than an hour, I feel it's not for me. This fun project took less than an hour and I hand cut the letters and penants.

The letters are cut from the Orange Dazzling Diamond Sticker Sheets from the Buckle Boutique. I used a chunky font and traced them onto the sticker sheet. I used a basic craft knife to cut them out. You can also cut the resin rhinestones with everyday scissors. The sticker sheet is a peel and stick. Once the letters were cut out, all I had to do is peel the backing off and stick the tight to the burlap.

The pennants are cut from green burlap from the DCWV Burlap Stack. I'm in love with the shabby chic messy look of this banner, the burlap can also be cut with a very neat edge, I just like it this way.

Instead of the traditional ribbon or twine, I used a heavy gage copper wire to string the pennants together. On either end I loop and twisted 4 leaf clovers and used them as the hanging points.

The felt shamrocks are sticky back precuts I found in the dollar bin at the craft store.

It is as fun as it is simple.

Sparkle Mailbox for 18″ Dolls

We all know that our house loves American Girl Dolls, so for Valentine's Day this year we made them their own mailbox. This project was first featured in the American Girl Magazine back in 2013.

Rhinestonemailbox-1

I found that Target has the tin mailbox again this year in the dollar section. The stand is a candle stick from the local craft store.

First, we painted the candle stick pink with acyrlic paint and while it was drying, I let my daughter decorate the box with all kinds of stickers. The rhinestone stickers are made using the Dazzling Diamond Sticker sheet from The Buckle Boutique.  I used my Cricut Cutter to cut out the heart shapes from the rhinestone vinyl. The Dazzling Diamond Sticker Sheets are easy to cut with scissors as well, that how we cut the strips used to bedazzle the edges and flag.

Once the shapes are cut, they are just like stickers, just peel off the backing and stick.

Crafters of all ages can use the rhinestone sticker sheets to bling up any project!

In my daughter's opinion everything is better when it sparkles.
