Gwee – Keeps my Glasses looking FAB!

As many of you know, I am a fan of glasses. I have about 10 pairs now and I want to keep each one spotless and scratch free. This awesome little gadget from Gwee makes that possible and conveniently travels with me.

Their guppykeyring is great because I always have my keys with me! Place the keys on the ring and now the Guppy is a key fob, always around to clean not only my glasses, but also when I switch to my sunglasses and even my rear view mirror – which always seems to get covered in tiny fingerprints.

The guppysport not only helps keep my glasses clean but also close by (when I nap, hee, hee) I clip my glasses to my shirt using the guppysport when I nap so they don’t get misplaced. The guppysport can be clipped to hats, clothing and purses using the magnets, which keep it closed and clean.

Gwee also keeps your phone clean and supported. Use the Button to stand the phone up to watch your favorite video, then pop the microfiber cleaning pad off and wipe the screen.  PLUS it can clean your glasses too, since its always with you on your phone.

Hygienically clean is the brands slogan and the Leaf is a great little item that helps keeps all the screens in your life clean. The magnetic leaf attaches to the frame of your laptop. When you need to remove finger prints and smudges, the leaf is right there ready to use the microfiber side to remove the dirt.Gwee-1

Cure Summer Boredom with Lego Rental (+ a Lego Giveaway)

Rent Lego sets for more bang for your buck!

Pay Less, Play More!  Is Pley moto. Their mission is a socially-responsible company that changes the way families consume educational toys. Leveraging collaborative consumption, we aim to raise a more creative and skillful generation that follows the principles of open-ended play while emphasizing the benefits of sharing, reducing waste and giving back to the community.

We think it’s just plain fun and exciting. My daughter had the chance to fill her queue with all kinds of Lego sets, some she would have never picked at the store to buy, and they just keep arriving in the mail, come on admit it EVERYONE LOVES GETTING MAIL!!!! Ensuring a summer of creative play and new toys all break long – without breaking the bank.

How does it work? Sign up at Pley , your first set is free to try it out. Load up the queue with all sorts of sets from Lego Friends, Star Wars, Batman and more. The first box will arrive in the mail in about 5 days. Then you play. When you are done, box it up and send it back. Another set from your queue will be on its way.

That all seems really awesome, right! But you want to know how it works in the real word. We have a non-organized, 1 kid, 3 dog house. My fear was lost pieces. BUT Pley has you covered. They understand that some pieces will fall into the unknown abyss that is my heating / cooling ducts never to be seen again. You will not be charged for normal play loss and there is a page on the website to report an incomplete set if one should arrive at your house. It’s all on your time, you can keep one set as long as you like. We turned our first set over fairly quickly. It only took 4 days from the drop off at the post office to a new set sitting on our porch. The second set has been around the house here for a couple of weeks. No problem!

I suggest putting all other brick sets away. We have a special tray that we use to build the Pley set. Other than that it’s been super fun.

Our first set was a Princess set. It was the perfect sized set for my daughter to build it on her own. She loved the excitement of opening the box to reveal which set it was, dumping out the pieces and jump into building. I thought she might be upset when it was time to box it up and send it back, but the excitement of which set will be next made it just as fun to take the set apart and ship it back.

Sparkle Frozen Crown at the Disney Craft Hop

Welcome to the Disney Pixar Blog Hop!

If you love Disney Pixar and crafting, you came to the right place!  We have an entire month of fun planned for you, with a new group of crafting bloggers every Saturday in June.
If you came here from Kathy's blog, then you are in the right place.  If you just happened upon this Blog Hop, make sure to head over to Shawn's blog so that you see the full hop from the very beginning.  If you missed the first two weekends, you can still go back and see all of those projects too.  Just click HERE to see the projects from the first weekend, and click HERE to see the projects from the second weekend.
Here is my Awesome Disney Craft: The Sparkle Frozen Crown
The Frozen items are super hard to find, so it has come down to making some of our own for dress up. I made this crown by finding one of the many templates on the net, a quick search will yeild you with many printable options. I found one that was the closest to Elsa's in the movie. I printed it out and traced it onto the back of the Dazzling Diamond Sticker sheet from The Buckle Boutique. I hand cut it out using a craft knife. For the gemstone I cut a piece of Rowlux Illustion Film. Next, peel the paper off the back of the sticker sheet crown, place the gemstone cutout in place and stick it to a piece of craft foam. Trim the crown out with the craft knife again. Then I hot glued the crown to a hair comb and let the glue cool.

My iPhone got a Snugg

I recently got to try The Snugg case for my iPhone 5C, it's like a snuggle for your phone. I love it. I'm sure the company intended it to be as in "keeping your device snug in place" but I like to look at it, in all it's pink glory, as giving my phone a "snugly hug" (and keeping it safe).

The case fits the phone like a glove and with the nubuck fiber inside lining there is no chance of it getting scratched. The sides have been reinforced to give a sturdy hold. There is a heavy cotton stitch finishing the edges making this case look high end. There is a card slot on the back of the case to hold your license and credit card – great for a night out without a purse!

On the front of the case is a tab which pulls out to pop your iPhone out of the pouch. The tab is on a strong elastic strap that retracts quickly back into place when you release it. The tab is also magnetic so it sticks to the side of the case meaning it always stays in place.

This product comes with the Snugg Promise of high quality materials and craftsmanship and a Lifetime Guarantee.

I love the color options of this case. My Hubs just recently picked up a summer bag and it's HOT Pink so when I saw that the Snugg came in the same color it was a must have. Snuggle-4

I like the Snugg because it conceals the phone. Yes I'm sure that everyone in the world knows that I'm carrying a phone but this case hides it a little better than others. Plus, when I use the outside pocket of my purse it blends in.

I like the pull tab and it is just as easy to get my phone out as it is using some of the other cases I have had in the past.

Head on over and grab a Snugg for your Smart Phone – not just for iPhones!! Or Tablet, Laptops, eReaders and Cameras. Great product line to protect all of your hi tech gadgetry!

Why I Blog and How to Start

Why did I start to blog?

I have all of these creative thoughts in my head and some days I just feel that they need to get out so new ideas can enter and so on. I thought a simple blog about my crafts, yarn making and general life would be a great outlet for these thoughts and ideas.

Never did I think it would amount to anything more than what it was intended – a web log of my life.

How did I get started?

I chose a blog host that will let me have complete control over what I post and how I post it. I pay for the blog service because I wanted to advertise or write sponsored posts with out any question.

I suggest if you are starting out try Web Hosting Hub. They offer hosting, blog templates through WordPress, and domain names for a low monthly cost of $4.99. It really is a great deal, since other sites charge just that for the domain name and some blog companies charge more than that a month. It's a one stop shop. The staff is the nicest group of people you could ever encounter! They will walk you through everything step by step. Love Them!

What's happened since I started blogging?

I have met some amazing people and had lunch with a group of bloggers which is a crazy thing, cameras clicking when the food arrives and photo shoots around the lunch venue. I have a paying gig as a Kid's craft post contributor and I'm part of a Design Team for the Buckle Boutique. I have worked with several craft supply companies reviewing products. I love the opportunities that have come my way and the doors that have been opened just because, one day I sat down and posted about my Circus Obsession.

Do I do this for the money?

A lot of bloggers blog for an income. While money is nice, I blog more for an outlet like I mentioned above. Can you make money? – yes. Have I made money?yes. I use program such as Google Adsense and that has generated some money. I use Passion Fruit Ads to help place the ads on the side bar and I have made some income from that. I work with affiliates and I write sponsored posts.

BUT my most important post of all times is my FREE Printable Santa Letter and Envelope. It's a post I created a couple years ago and I update it every year with a new date. It shows the reader how to print an envelope template that actually cancels the stamp from the North Pole and completely customizable letter from Santa to place in that envelope. It makes kids happy. That is the most rewarding thing my blog has ever done.

Sparkle Clipboard

I'm over the moon with the Rhinestone Trim avalible from The Buckle Boutique. It is easy to cut and can be ironed on fabric but a hot glue gun works great on all other surfaces. I used it along with other Buckle Boutique products and Paper goods from DCWV to make this fun clipboard that can hang in my office and be used to tack or clip items to.

So, how did I make it?

I started with a base of silver Dazzling Diamond Sticker Sheet to cover the entire clip. That way the whole clip sparkled even in the spaces between the trim.

Next I went mad with the hot glue gun. I glued a large piece of trim across the widest part of the clip and used a different trim for the middle of the clip.

I ended with attaching a slide to the clip by threading ribbon through the hole and slide, then tying it into a bow. I glued on some of the mesh flowers and the clip was totally blinged out!

For the board, I used a sheet of cork paper from DCWV.

It has a peel and stick back, which went on quick and easy. Now the clipboard has a cork surface to tack things to as well as clip.

I used washi tape to fill the gap between the edge of the cork paper to the top of the clipboard.

I clipped a saying cut from the DCWV chalkboard collection.

Pretty and simple, the way I like all my crafts! Hope you love it and add some bling to your life.

Anjolee – Customize Your Own Diamond Ring

Girls deserve beautiful jewelry! Now every girl has the chance to design that special piece of jewelry to fit her own taste. Anjolee is a jewelry manufacturer that offers fully customizable designs for all of their products.

Anjolee was founded in 1977 as a high-end jewelry manufacturer. The company originally started selling its products to wholesalers and retail stores and quickly gained recognition as the leading manufacturer of high-end diamond jewelry. Anjolee’s product line has expanded throughout the years and includes an extensive collection of bridal jewelry, rings, diamond bracelets, earrings, necklaces, and pendants.

One of my favorite sections to browse is the Wedding and Anniversary rings. In the comfort of your own home, custom build your dream ring. Whether it's your dream engagement ring or a hint for your hubs to buy an anniversary gift, it's so simple to design a ring that is absolutely perfect for you and your life.

Start by choosing one of Anjolee's base designs. Then choose the metal, yellow or white gold or platinum. Next, you select the weight/size of the diamond as well as the clarity. Then you choose the diamond certification. Finish by selecting ring size and you have just made your perfect ring.

A fun option that this company offers is a Sterling Silver and Cubic Zirconium replica of your ring. A great option to have and wear when traveling or going to the gym.

Anjolee also offers gem stone bracelets, a perfect custom gift with birthstones, remember Mother's Day is coming up!

I was offered the chance to try out one of their ring styles in the Sterling Silver and Cubic Zirconium replica. The quality is amazing and flawless. The fit of the ring is true to size and it looks fabulous.

(I was offered the opportuniy to have a Topaz inserted as the main stone instead of a Cubic Zirconium for the purposes of reviewing the overall product and design, this is not an option offered, since Anjolee only uses high quality diamonds for their solitares and diamond band rings.)

Mother’s Day Tea Towel with Stencil1 Stencils

I’m so excited I had the opportunity to try out these great new stencils. Stencil1 Stencils are street art – inspired designs created by Ed Roth. The sets include a background pattern, silhouette and detail design which make it easy to achieve Ed’s layering technique. Larger 12×12 formats are perfect for walls, floors and furniture. The 6×6 designs are great for adding accents to your projects. Each stencil is made from durable, reusable mylar that is easy to clean with soap and water.

I got to try the star pattern. I wanted to spice up some basic tea towels just in time for Mother’s Day. I purchased the cotton tea towel for cheap. It was plain and boring, so I decided to use my stencil to make a boarder along the one edge.

I used one of my favorite products, Plaid Textile Medium to mix with any color of Plaid Acrylic paints to make them a washable fabric paint. Follow the directions on the bottle of Textile Medium to mix the paint.

Place a piece of wax paper down to protect your work surface. Next tape the stencil in place and use a brush to apply the paint to the towel. I tap the paint on to the stencil using a sponge brush, but you could use a flat ended bristle brush. Peel the stencil off and let the section dry completely. (If you are impatient, like I am you can use a hair dryer to dry the paint faster.)

Stencil1plaid-1 Stencil1plaid-2 Stencil1plaid-3

To do the next section of the pattern, line up the stencil to the already painted part and tape it down. Repeat the painting and drying process until you have completed the row.

One last thing before the project is finished, I like to heat set the fabric paint by using an iron. Place a piece of wax paper on your ironing board, then the painted fabric item, then cover that with a clean white piece of fabric and press with an iron. This helps set the paint.

The towel is complete and ready to be gifted! (or kept for yourself because it’s so awesome and you just fell in love with it!!! )
