Sparkle Handmade Putz House

My daughter loves Putz or Glitter Houses. They are those tiny Christmas paper houses from the 40's and 50's. She has many different styles, but this year she wanted to try her hand at making her own.

I thought I would use the Dazzling Diamond sticker sheets from the Buckle Boutique to make mine sparkle, which means less glue = less mess.

I used a paper house design I found on the web here.

I cut it out of cardstock, then I cut pieces of the sticker sheet to fit each panel of the house and roof. I stuck the sticker sheets on and glued the house together. Photo (10)

I used a piece of the Rowlux Illusion Film for the door.

Then I used Beacon 527 glue and baking soda to make the snow.Photo 4

I'm in love with how easy it was to make and no mess of the glitter and the baking soda didn't make as big of a mess as I thought.

These make cute gifts for the holiday season.

Night Out Shoe Clips

  Clips-1

I needed a little pizazz for a night out. I have a pair of black flats, so I grabbed 2 rhinestone slides from the Buckle Boutique and a pair of shoe clips too. Clip the 2 together and magically a boring pair of flat become party shoes.

I used the black shoes clips and opened the staple part of the clip that holds the fabric to the shoe clip. I inserted the slide of the heart. I used pliers to crimp the metal prongs tight to the slide.

I didn't even need to use glue. I think a dot of glue would make the whole unit more secure, but by making sure the prongs are crimped tight it isn't necessary. I trimmed the black fabric attached to the shoe clip so it would not show behind the slide.

Sparkly Office Supplies for Back to School!

It’s time to start the new school year and what better way to do it than to add bling to all your office supplies.

It’s a simple project using the Dazzling Diamond Sticker sheets from The Buckle Boutique.

I purchased a box of boring yellow #2 pencils, they looked sad just being plain so a quick wrap of sparkle vinyl makes them pretty.

Office-5

Binder clips in a box are not very exciting but add some glitz and clip them around the pencil can – now they are a desk accessory!

Then use the scraps to add pizazz to thumbtacks!

These would make great back to school gift for teachers or an addition to a college care package.

Rhinestone Butterfly Floral Picks

I was lucky enough to win a set of punches. I used the solid butterfly punch with the Buckle Boutique's Dazzling Diamond Sticker Sheets to make these cute butterfly floral picks. I added them to a flower arrangement we made from fresh picked flowers and they really made the whole thing sparkle.

Butterfly-1

Start by using a paper punch to punch out the butterfly shape. YES! I said use the paper punch with the Dazzling Diamond Sticker Sheet!! Isn't that fabulous!

So, punch out the butterflies. You need 2 in each color. Peel off the backing of the sticker sheet and place the butterfly on the floral stick, stick the other one to the back. Bend the tip to make it look like the butterfly is flying.

Place it the vase with some pretty flowers!

Frozen Bling Candle

Frozen5-7

The options for cool birthday number candles are nonexistent. Especially when you are cheap like me and want to pick them up at the dollar store. So, when looking for a number candle for a Frozen party I could only find this beautiful multi-colored polka dot one.

Frozen5-1

Well, 10 minutes in the craft room and it was transformed into this beautiful sparkle piece that will make any little girl smile.

I used The Buckle Boutique's Dazzling Diamond Stick Sheet in Sky Blue to fill the body of the candle. Then used matching glitter to cover up the red outline.

Frozen5-2

I used tracing paper to trace the inside shape of the number. Then, on the back of the Dazzling Diamond Sticker Sheet, I flip over the traced number and rub my finger over the pencil lines to transfer the 5 to the sticker sheet. Since I'm cutting from the back, the number has to be in reverse. I use a craft knife to cut the stick sheet with ease.

Frozen5-3

Once the number is cut out, peel the back off and stick it to the candle.

Frozen5-4

I used tacky glue on the red outline. Sprinkle the glitter on and tap off the excess. Once the glue is dry, use a soft brush to knock off any extra glitter that stuck to the resin gemstones. (Nobody wants glitter on the cake.)

This project was simple and quick, just the way I like it!

Lucky Irish Banner

It's March. In March our world becomes nothing but Irish Dance. I wanted to make a cute little banner decoration for our wall for my tiny dancer. Green, orange and sparkly, she loves it. Here's to a little Luck of the Irish!

I'm also a quick crafter. If the project takes longer than an hour, I feel it's not for me. This fun project took less than an hour and I hand cut the letters and penants.

The letters are cut from the Orange Dazzling Diamond Sticker Sheets from the Buckle Boutique. I used a chunky font and traced them onto the sticker sheet. I used a basic craft knife to cut them out. You can also cut the resin rhinestones with everyday scissors. The sticker sheet is a peel and stick. Once the letters were cut out, all I had to do is peel the backing off and stick the tight to the burlap.

The pennants are cut from green burlap from the DCWV Burlap Stack. I'm in love with the shabby chic messy look of this banner, the burlap can also be cut with a very neat edge, I just like it this way.

Instead of the traditional ribbon or twine, I used a heavy gage copper wire to string the pennants together. On either end I loop and twisted 4 leaf clovers and used them as the hanging points.

The felt shamrocks are sticky back precuts I found in the dollar bin at the craft store.

It is as fun as it is simple.

Sparkle Gloves with Rhinestone Hearts

Bling Gloves

These gloves are ready to make your hands warm and your outfit fabulous. I picked up a pair of gloves at the local dollar store and using the Rhinestone Puffy Heart Slide from The Buckle Boutique, I created a fast and simple Valentine's Day accessory that every girl would love to wear, especially here in Pennsylvania.

This project uses the slides instead of the pin back brooches. Why, you might ask, is because by using the slides they can be stitched tight to the glove so it will stay in place while the pin backs may open due to repetative pulling the gloves in and out of pockets. The last thing you want to do is stick the back of your hand with a pin. Yuck!

Using a needle and thread whip stitch the slide back to the glove with a matching color thread, tie a knot and secure. Simple and Easy!

Accessories need Bling too!

Here is a simple way to add a little something to the everyday phone charger. I am in love with the White Dazzling Diamond sticker sheet from The Buckle Boutique. I think it was the perfect match to jazz up my otherwise boring iPhone charger. There are many colors available, so go grab your fave and make something sparkle!!!

Plug

The Dazzling Diamond sticker sheet is an adhesive vinyl that you can cut with everyday scissors and stick to anything!!

Plug2

Start by measuring the width of your plug, then get a measurement for the wrap. Cut a piece of vinyl to wrap around the plug, remove the backing and stick. Done, so simple. You're plug is now bedazzled and it took you maybe 2 minutes! Cut smaller pieces to wrap around the ends of the cord too. How cool is that?

Sparkle Wreath with Brooches

I had the opportunity to make this gorgeous wreath for a trade show booth for The Buckle Boutique.

Wreath2

I used an 9" circle foam wreath and wrapped it in 1 inch wide ribbon, I secured the ribbon with glue at the begining and the end. Once the wreath was wrapped I used a piece of hand beaded scalloped trim with rhinestones.

Wreath-3

I wrapped that around a couple of times and attached it with an iron, since it's backed with heat bond.

Wreath-2

Once, that was attached I started to pin tight the rhinestone brooches of all sizes. When I filled all the space with pins, I tied an extra piece of ribbon to the top to hang the wreath.
